Zals Tech - Sitemap is the most important part in indexing a blog. Sitemap serves to index many pages at once from our blog which will later appear on search engines. Usually we will be asked to enter a sitemap after registering our blog to the webmaster.

But what happens if the sitemap that we enter is an error? Don't be afraid your blog can't be indexed in search engines because you can find the solution here! The following is how to solve an error sitemap xml.

Some time ago I registered my blog to Google Webmaster, after that I submitted Sitemap.xml but the result was an error. It wasn't long before I came up with an idea that turned out to be a solution too, here is the solution

How to Solve Sitemap XML Error in Template

First step

One of the causes of sitemap errors after we submit is the absence of content alias articles on our blog. So the solution is very easy, make a post or article at least 1 so that you can then submit a sitemap. Because the logic is that if there are no articles, what do you want to be indexed in search engines?

Second Step

If the first method failed and the sitemap still error, do it this way. "This method applies to some templates only"
  • First, delete the error sitemap.xml in the webmaster
  • Open edit html and look for code like below (it's at the top of the template on line 3):
<HTML expr:dir='data:blog.languageDirection'>
  • Then replace it with the code below:
<HTML b:version='2' class='v2' expr:dir='data:blog.languageDirection' xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml' xmlns:b='http://www.google.com/2005/gml/b' xmlns:data='http://www.google.com/2005/gml/data' xmlns:expr='http://www.google.com/2005/gml/expr'>
  • After that, enter or resubmit sitemap.xml to the webmaster
  • If successful then the sitemap contains the words "pending" and "no errors found"
