How to Solve AMD RX460 Error Driver on Asus X550IU, K550IU, FX550IU Laptops

Zals Tech - There aren't many laptop users with AMD chipsets nowadays, because there are fewer laptops of this type than laptops with Intel + Nvidia chipsets. Even though AMD Ryzen is now available, it is still outnumbered by Intel chipset laptops. Often I find problems with using this AMD graphic card, especially the ones I found on the Asus X550IU laptop whose specifications are the same as the Asus K550IU and FX550IU laptops. The problem that arises is an error Display Driver.

Why is that so? My first analysis is because the driver is not updated or the version of the driver used is not suitable. As a result I tried to update the driver through the Device Manager in Settings. After it was installed it didn't change, the error still appeared and added every time it finished booting it said something like the one below. Finally I found a way so that the driver does not error again and runs normally. How to? refer to the following steps. I divided this step into two parts.

First Step

1. Go to the Asus website and search for "Driver and Tools" for the X550IU series laptop, or click here
2. Enter the Windows OS you are using
3. Find and Download BIOS and BIOS-Utilities
4. Extract both
5. Open the winflash folder from BIOS-Utilities and run setup.exe
6. Open the winflash application, click next
7. Click Get BIOS from Device, find where you saved the BIOS file (the extract earlier)
8. Click Update and wait for it to finish
9. Click exit to have Windows reboot automatically and update BIOS

Second Step

1. Find Radeon Adrenaline 18.2.1 driver or click here
2. Download according to your Windows OS
3. Run the driver file
4. Click Accept and Install >> Select Express Install (installed in C:\Program Files\AMD\ or Custom Install (choose where to install it yourself)
5. Wait for the process to finish then click Restart Now
6. Done
